  I've heard something about this too. And being Guatemalan it always peaked my curiousity. What else do you know about the mayan calendar?

  All I know...is that when it's your animal year, watch out for "turbulence" and pray for the end of that lunar year.

    Yup... I've heard that, too!! But I think 2012 everyone will have to keep their guards up :O)

      BTW--the year 2012 also signifies the return of Quetzalcoatl (or Kukulkan, as he is known in Guatemala). "Coincidentally," he is the feathered serpent (can you say Dragon, anyone?)
